La Salle Centre, Singai was formerly known as St John’s Tuition Centre. It was the second tuition centre opened on the 1st September 2003 in an old church building. 46 Primary Five students registered that year. However, in 2010, in response to the greater needs of the students with learning difficulties, it has shifted its focus on the learning programmed to help slow learners.
On the 1st February 2015, La Salle Centre Singai moved to a new premise called St John’s Hall which is located just behind the St John Church Building. With the kind consent of the Council and Ketua Kampung, Mr. Vincent Agen, YLK centre is given a private room for library, staff room and supervisor’s office. Other classrooms are shared among YLK and the church’s various organisations.
